The severed brain
Schizoid-affective propositions
Angry nuns
Teen soldier
His first Christmas
Away from home
Cold, damp, lonely outpost
An unseen presence

Umbilical realities
Never take ingrates
Perhaps the forgotten effervescence
Will swallow mundaneness
In its instant totality

And... yet... so subtly
The meanings Exist

Befuddled prefixes
And twisted sanctuaries
Beckon my recognizance
And seize upon my lethargy

Yet beneath the mountain of perplexity
There breathes the fractal hope
And whispers the profoundest lie
Of liberation

It takes a savvy eye
To extract the nutritious parts
From the petroleum  matrix
And porcelain artifacts
Of gravity and awareness
When certain coalitions
Dissolve all insistence
That mercy and medicine
And basic dignity
Are not guaranteed
And are not within the framework
Of institutionalized lethargy
Of barely cognizant oligarchies
Of dissonant attitudes
Of the common seeker
Of the ancient soul
